Keep track of the changes you and your coworkers by making them easy to spot. Changes are like suggestions which you can review, reject, or accept to make them permanent.

There are several ways to display changes, which you can find in the Tracking group on the Track tab. To see tracked changes in your document, select Final: Show Markup or Original: Show Markup to show what changes you have made; and if you want to hide them, select Final or Original. Final displays the document as if all tracked changes were accepted, whereas Original displays the document as if you had rejected them, but both will only hide tracked changes instead of removing them.

Start tracking changes

To turn on Track Changes, simply go to Track > Tracking > Track Changes . When the button is highlighted, Right PDF Editor is ready to track changes.

Display tracked changes

  1. In Write mode, choose Track > Tracking.

  2. There is a menu above Balloons where you can choose whether to display tracked changes in the document. Click the down arrow and choose one:

    • Final: Show Markup. It shows all the changes that have been made and formatted changes are temporarily accepted for review. All Changes except formatted changes are displayed inline, such as insertions, deletions and cell deletions. Formatted changes, on the other hand, are displayed in balloons by default. You can choose not to display changes in balloons by selecting Show All Revisions Inline in Balloons .

  •

    • Final. It displays the document as if you had accepted all the tracked changes. It hides but doesn’t not remove the tracked changes.

    • Original: Show Markup. It shows all the changes that have been made. No changes are accepted and formatted changes are displayed in balloons by default. You can choose not to display changes in balloons by selecting Show All Revisions Inline in Balloons .

    • Original. It displays your document as if you had rejected all the tracked changes in your document (hidden, not removed).

Review changes

Remove the markings by accepting or rejecting the changes. Right-click on the tracked changes and choose either Accept Change or Reject Change. Or you can click it and, on the Track tab, in the Review Changes group, click Accept or Reject.

  • Accept makes a change permanent.

  • Previous and Next take you from one change to the next.

  • Reject removes a change.

You can also accept or reject all changes at once. In the Reviews Changes group, click the arrow on the Accept or Reject button and then choose Accept All Changes in Document or Reject All Changes in Document.
