You can use use the Edit tool to modify text and object directly without having to open the original document in another application. The features let you edit your PDF file on a small scale, for example correcting typos, changing font size, and adjusting paragraph layout. 

Using the Edit tool, you are able to replace, edit, or add text to a PDF, or resize, replace, or move images or objects. It’s also easy to correct typos, change fonts and font size, adjust alignment and word spacing, and resize text.


To add text to a PDF

  1. Choose Home/Advanced > Content Editing > Add Text; or choose Home/Advanced > Content Editing > Edit, right-click anywhere on the page, and choose Add Text from the menu.

  2. Click anywhere on the PDF to show a bounding box, in which you can type text.

  3. Under the Edit tab, select a font, font size, a fill color, or another font in the Font section. In the Positioning and Paragraph section, select and adjust values of character, line spacing and horizontal scaling.

  4. Enter text.

  5. To adjust the size of the boundling box, click-drag the handles; to move the box, move the cursor to the edges of the box, and click-drag the box when the cursor becomes a cross.


To edit or format text in a PDF

  1. Do either of the following:

    • Choose Home > Content Editing > Edit.

    • Choose Advanced > Content Editing > Edit.

  1. Select the text to edit. Click to show a bounding box with selection handles surrounding the selected text.

  2. Do either of the following to edit the text:

    • Double-click anywhere inside the bounding box and type in new text or replacement text. You can also press Delete on your keyboard to delete the selected text.

    • Under the Edit tab, select a font, font size, a fill color, or another font in the Font In the Positioning and Paragraph section, select and adjust values of character, line spacing and horizontal scaling.


To move, rotate, flip, or resize a text box

  1. Do either of the following:

    • Choose Home > Content Editing > Edit.

    • Choose Advanced > Content Editing > Edit.

  1. Click the text you want to move, rotate, flip, or resize:

  1. Do either of the following:
    • Move: move your cursor over the frame of a bounding box and you will see a four-headed Move pointer . Drag the box to the desired location.

    • Rotate: place the cursor over the rotate handle. When the cursor changes into the Rotation pointer, drag in the direction you want it to rotate.

    • Resize: place your cursor over a selection handle. When the cursor changes into the Resize pointer , drag the handle to resize the text block.

 

Note: text editing might not be perfectly executed due to font embedding issues.
