Find and replace text and numbers

Choose Home > Find & Replace.

In the Find and Replace dialog box, click the Find tab to find text or numbers, or the Replace tab to find and replace text or numbers.

In the Find what field, enter the text or numbers you want to search for, and choose Current Selection or Main Document in Find In. Then in the Search Options area, define your search criteria by doing the following:

Search: Search the whole document, or from your cursor upwards or downwards. In the drop-down menu, chose Down, Up, or All.

Match case: Check to search for case-sensitive data.

Match half/full width forms: Matches half- and full-width characters in search results.

Find whole words only: Check to search for the cells that contain the exact characters you typed in the Find what field. Text that is part of another word is ignored.

Use wildcards: Find partial matches. For instance, "Conver*" finds "Convert", "Conversion", and "Converse"

Special. Find and replace page and character elements such as tabs, or Section Breaks.

Click Find Next to go to the next occurrence, and so on.

To replace the selected occurrence or all occurrences, enter the replacement characters in the Replace with field under the Replace tab and click either Replace or Replace All.
